Hemverk wants to focus on the here and now, which is why they have also chosen to leave out the second hand on their clocks. The movement used in Hemverk clocks is a quartz movement by Junghans, a German clockmaker that has been making high-quality quartz movements since 1861. The movement does not tick, allowing time to pass freely and silently.
